Better late than never

In fact, the present situation of Nepal is at great concern. The tenure, work and efficiency of constituent assembly is being hawk eyed from national and international level as well. Question mark has been raised that whether the expectation of Nepalese people to get new constitution and be able to use their own rights will be effective or not.

People's representatives or Constituent Assembly members, political parties and governmental incumbents are busy in verbal dispute of changing the present government whereas Nepalese citizens who admit or supported the Janaandolan 2nd are waiting the very day, when the inclusive new statue will be promulgated and the rights of all people will be saved forever.

On May 28, deadline to promulgate new statue, constituent assembly should prepare a new democratic as well as inclusive constitution. But till now there are many topics which are to be discussed in detail. At the same time constituent assembly do have only few and certain days to meet the deadline. Moreover, the most responsible party UCPN Maoist is threatening that they will grab the power through people's revolt if the Madhav Nepal led government do not let them to use the power and run the government to maintain peace and security as well as draft a new constitution.

Anyway it's certain that CA members are unable to draft a new constitution on May 28. With this incident it's uncertain that how the country will go on. Many predications are being made by different personalities. But there is way except agreement, cooperation and unity among the political parties. Since the held of CA election and result the CA members and other government incumbents became busy to inaugurate, end etc different programs. Now when the deadline has come at the door they are busy to accuse each other for being late and making late by doing different activities. Seeing such insincere activities we can imagine that these leaders can't write new constitution even in another deadline.

If our leaders are really the peoples representatives, they should be aware and write the new constitution on time. It's true that some works cannot be performed in time because of vagueness, disagreement and other causes. But the work should done even it is late. They should also think that people are yearning to run according to the new democratic and inclusive constitution. So constitution should be drafted in time but if it's not possible better late than never. If they can't promulgate statue on the very day it's better to fix another exact date according to the agreement but should not overstep another deadline also. Beware that if another deadline will be overstepped Nepalese people won't remain silent.
